♥ My Guest Post on Natalie Roseanne's Nail and Beauty Blog! ♥

I have recently done a guest post for Natalie on her blog Natalie Roseanne's. I love her blog she does many post mainly about beauty and nails. I would defiantly recommend that you check her blog out if you haven't done so already! I did a post for her about my top five spring nail polishes which is linked here. Here is a little sneak peak!

Hi, I'm Becki from Dreams With Butterflies. I'm going to do a guest post for Natalie since she is home for Easter. Today I'm going to share with you my top five favourite nail polishes for spring, and if your lucky enough to be already in spring I am incredibly jealous as it is the end of march and the UK has snow! I mean whats that all about? I am a strong believer we should only have snow for Christmas day and not when we could be were spring clothes and possibly even sandals!

I personally love painting my nails and doing nail art on them, and well if I don't have anything on my nails I kind of feel naked! Is anybody else like that? Any way as always spring is the time to get all the pastel coloured items out and I am no different I love wearing pastel colour more on my nails.

♥ March Favourites ♥

It's time for March favourites! I don't know if I've already said this but how fast is this year going? I mean its already April, by the time we know it it's going to be Christmas all over again! Any way I am going to share with you my favourite beauty products, movies and some other things I enjoyed this month!

Beauty Favourites -
Urban Decay - Naked 2 Palette

After holding myself back from getting this ever since it came out I sadly finally cracked! I so glad I did you can create any look you want from a simple 50's look all the way to a glamorous smokey eye of today. I also love the brush it comes with - very handy!

Rimmel - Scandaleyes - Eyeshadow Stick in Bulletproof Beige

At first I didn't like how these applied but after playing around with them I actually really like them especially this colour to act as a base to my eyeshadow! It's very smooth and is quite pigmented.

MUA - Mega Volume Mascara

I have done a review of this mascara back in December (Link Here), I have tried many mascaras before and between using this one but I can't help myself I keep going back!

MAC - Creme Cup Lipstick

I defiantly prefer my neutral colours when it comes to everyday wear, I love wearing this it gives your lips a lovely colour and it is my favourite finish for a Mac lipstick which is cremesheen.

OPI - Lucky Lucky Lavender

You can probably tell by the name this is a lavender nail polish and I might even go to it's on of the nicest lavender shades on the market! This is also a great colour for this time of the year.

Essie - Off The Shoulder

If you seen my collective haul I did recently then you would have seen I got this for only £1.99, instead of the usual £7.99. I love this pink - it's quite a bubbly pink and I have been wearing it loads this month.

Carex - Protect + Plus Hand Gel

I have never talked about any kind of anti-bacterial gel on here before, but I thought I had to include this because some hand gels can be really sticky or have a weird smell to them. But this isn't the case for this hand gel. I haven't noticed a horrible smell and it's not sticky and rubs in easily, it also claims to protect your hands for 2 hours which is great when your on the go.

Mac - Fix+

I have mentioned this /used this in quite a lot of my posts recently, simply because I have really loved using it. If its hidden in a drawer I always seem to forget about it but when it is sitting out on my vanity I love it. This month I have been using it every morning to help my make-up stay on for longer.

Aussie - Miracle Hair Insurance Leave-in Conditioner

Now I have only used this two or three times as I only got it just over a week ago but I have loved it so much I had to include it. This stuff seriously smells amazing! It has jojoba oil in it and well words can't explain how good it smells. It also does the job!

V05 - Hot Oil

Now I was meant to mention this in my favourites last month but I completely forgot, so I am going to include it into this months favourites post as I am still enjoying using them. In a pack you get four treatments, you use it in the shower and heat in up under the water then you leave it on you hair for a minute and them rinse it out and wash your hair like normal. You could use the entire treatment if you wanted but I have long thick hair and I only use half a treatment and use the other half the week after and that does me. It is also around the £4.79 mark so very affordable for the amount of uses I get out of it.

Random Favourites -

Tv -

Ant and Dec - Saturday Night Takeaway

Chicago Fire

Chasing the Saturdays
(Yes the three above are the same as last month but I have not had any other favourite tv shows)

Films -

Our Girl

Beyonce - Life is but a Dream

Twlight Saga - The complete collection

Books -

Safe Haven by Nicolas Sparks

Music -

Bridgit Mendler - Ready or Not

Bridgit Mendler - Hurricane

The Saturdays - What About Us

I have also loved netflix this month it was my second month of having it and I love it. It doesn't have some of the stuff I search for but It does have some good films and tv shows that you can watch on your laptop or even on your phone which is great if your going on Holiday!

Also this past Thursday Sky Movies lunched a new movie channel - Sky Disney!!!! I am a strong believer in that your never to old for Disney! And they have some new films like Brave and the good old classics Cinderella, Bugs Life and Lion King!

I'm also going to add an image of my Easter "eggs" my mum and dad got me! They are so cute, I'm going to share Colin the Caterpillar with the family but I don't have the heart to eat Hello Kitty! Both Easter "Eggs" are from Marks and Spencer's!

I hope you enjoyed, and have had a great month of March. Now going into April I hope the weather starts to brighten up, even though when I woke up this morning the ground was completely white - yes white with snow!

♥ Review - Benefit Hoola Boxed Powder ♥

I realised today it has been quite a while since I have done a review! So I have decided to do a review for you today, I thought I should do it on Benefit - Hoola Boxed Powder, because well it's important to find a good bronzer and this is one of the best I have found and this is what I think about it...

Product -

This bronzer is mid-toned brown and is also matt meaning that it is great for contouring. Since I'm not great at describing things I'll leave it to the professionals and here is the product description from the Benefit website - "Dust this soft bronze powder over your complexion for a healthy, natural looking "tan" year-round. No tanning bed necessary! Complete with soft, natural-bristle cheek brush. It's pure colour - no sparkle and no shine!".

How it Works? -

Hoola is a mid toned brown this is matt, it's great for contouring and adding colour to you face to well make you look more alive. I have very pale skin (I'm within a NW15 - NW20 for Mac foundation) and it is a great colour for me, my sister also uses this and she is a NC35 in Mac foundation. So it really is great for all skin tones.

Packaging -

The packaging for all benefit products are well amazing, the design team at benefit are defiantly very imaginative and they do such a great job making each product stand out on there own and the actual product is shown through the packaging just the way Hoola is.

Price -

This is £23.50 from Benefit Cosmetics.

Overall Opinion -

Overall I love this product it's great for doing a bit of contouring and adding colour to your face. It is more on the pricey side but the box powders last forever quite literally! The first box powder I had has lasted me for more than two years and there is still some left even though I use it all the time! I defiantly recommend buying them as they are like an investment. I also like the boxed powders because they has amazing pigmentation, lasting power and look great both on your skin and the packaging is gorgeous. That's also why I love Benefit so much there products are great and they look great.

I hope you enjoyed this review, if you would like me to review another product that you have seen featured in my blog just let me know in the comments.

♥ Updated Skin Care Routine #3 ♥

Today I am going to share with you my updated skin care routine for the third time! So I guess you could say that I have changed my skin care up quite a bit but I really am happy with this there is a couple of products I would like to change and try other things, but the other things are a bit out of my reach just now especially since I am on a spending ban. Any way I will go into more detail about that later! Lets just get right into it....

I should also say I'm going to show you all the products I use on my skin whether its from morning skincare, night time skincare or special treatments. I will also include products that I use on spots or on my eyes just really every thing and I'll explain when I use the products and how! And lastly my skin type is dry to normal.

Removing & Cleaning -

To remove my eye make-up I use Simple - Kind to Eyes - Eye Make-up Remover, for everyday use I find this is the best purely down to its only around the £3.99 mark. If I could I would use MAC - Pro Eye Make-up Remover I've had a large bottle of this before and loved it. But the simple one is similar basically the important thing is it does the job it was created for! I normally use this both morning and night. Night time to get all my eye make-up off and in the morning just to make sure that there is nothing on my eyes and I'm doing my make-up on a completely clean face.

To remove all my face make-up I use Simple - Kind to Skin - Vital Vitamin Foaming Cleanser, I love this it really does take all your make-up off and it leaves my skin feeling silky smooth! I use this morning and night every single day. To make sure all the dirt is off my skin and that its really clean I use Simple - Kind To Skin - Moisturising Facial Wash, I normally use this just at night time but if my skin is having a bad day I will also use it in the morning. I like using these two products together they defiantly work well and they are priced well.

Cleansing & Toning -

If you wanted a simple skin care routine then you could skip this part but I think this is a really important part and has made my skin looking better. Using a cotton pad I massage Simple - Kind to Skin - Purifying Cleansing Lotion, this again gets more dirt off my skin and you would be surprised that even after washing my face twice there is still a little bit of dirt! I also use this morning and night.

I don't really know if Simple - Kind to Skin - Smoothing Facial Toner is really doing much to my skin but the hope is that in the long run it will help my skin a lot. I use this on a cotton pad and again massage it into my skin, I also use this morning and night.

Moisturising -

I have dry to normal skin so moisturising is really important for me in fact its crucial! I have a day time and a night time moisturiser both do completely different jobs but I do sometimes use my night time moisturiser during the day if my skin is particularly dry. I use Garnier - Dark Spot Corrector during the day once I have decided if it works I will do a review but I want to be completely sure about my answer before I do a review. This is a illuminating moisturiser so is good for the day time but when ever I get a spot whenever it finally leaves it will leave a mark other wise known as a dark spot they really bother me and it had them so I am hoping this is going to remove them. If you know of any products that help with dark spot please leave the name of them in the comments below it would be really helpful! At night time I use First Aid Beauty - Ultra Repair Cream, this stuff is amazing I love it it makes my skin really soft and I couldn't have survived the cold winter days of the UK without it!

Spot Treatment -

For those really annoying spots that most of us get (if you don't get any I am incredibly jealous!) I use a mixture of Origins - Super Spot Remover I am currently on the fence about this product I used to think this product worked amazingly but now I am not so sure. I use it sparingly especially since it is such a tiny bottle. I also really love Sudocrem it might sound a bit bizarre but this stuff is amazing! I love it and it is and has been a staple in my skincare for a long time. It does help with spots and redness and well I love it all I have to say! I have got a separate post on how I get rid of spot featuring the two products above, I will link the post here.

Eyes -

Since eyes are the first so show anything it doesn't hurt to take care of them, I use Simple - Kind to Eyes - Soothing Eye Balm, I can't really say if this works well or not. It's the only eye cream I have ever used. I know that it won't be the best and well you can tell when you put it on its quite liquidy if that makes since, it's a creamy or balm type texture but I am going to use it up and then maybe try something else so any suggestions are well come.

Exfoliating -

I use the same exfoliator as in my last skin care routine, Neutrogena - Visibly Clear - Blackhead Eliminating Triple Action Cleanser, (what is with companies and there long product names!) I use this as a weekly mask but I feel that it's not working as well as it used to so I am also on the market for a new weekly mask so once again your suggestions would be appreciated!

I hope you enjoyed this updated skincare routine, this is the happiest I've been with my skin care ever and I really do recommend most of the products. If you have any product suggestions please leave them in the comments.

♥ Collective Haul - Aldo, Boots, Dainty Doll, Urban Decay & More ♥

Today as you might be able to tell by the title I have a somewhat large collective haul for you! I have been saving up some money, selling old mobiles I don't want as they were just sitting there and well I got the following with them! I would defiantly recommend looking out all you old mobiles as you might be surprised by how much you get for them. Anyway I am going to jump straight in and show you what I have recently purchased.

I have been looking for a pair of tan ankle boots since last September! But have never found a pair that I really liked, I also wanted a pair of tan boots to go with my favourite handbag which is my Marc by Marc Jacobs handbag. I finally found this pair at Aldo they have this boot in three colours - tan , taupe and black. But it was only the tan pair that had money off them but hopefully in a few months the black pair will go in the sale and I'll be able to get them as you can never go wrong with a pair of black ankle boots. Here is a link to the boots on the Aldo Website.

I got these three items at the begging of the month but I wanted to include them as I have a lot to say! I love the V05 Hot Oil, it's amazing and defiantly will be in my monthly favourites. I re-purchased Garnier - Dark Spot Corrector Moisturiser, I am pretty sure that this does work so I keep using it as a daytime moisturiser so hopefully it completely works, I will do a review when I can tell you if it does work. The next product I got because it was spoken about alot in the beauty community and well I was looking for a good BB cream, (Dr Jart+ - Water Fuse Beauty Balm). I liked it until I broke out in spots over my forehead. I have stopped using it and I am going to try it again in a few week to see if this was why I broke out or if there were just other reasons. So when I figure that one out I will also let you know.

I am a sucker for any offer in boots especially when it comes to 3 for 2 on make-up, and thats the exact offer they had on maybelline and I was getting the lipstick Maybelline - Colour Sensational in 422 Coral Tonic for re-creating Selena Gomez Inspired make-up post here. I was also wanting to try the Color Show nail polishes from maybelline so I got Urban Coral and Winter Baby. I also got Eylure - Girls Aloud Kimberley Lashes for the Selena Gomez inspired make-up. I got this Essie nail polish in Off The Shoulder, I got it from FragranceDirect.co.uk for only £1.99 when there normally £7.99! I have this on my nails now it is a geourgous pink perfect for spring and summer.

As you can see from the photos I have went a little bit crazy on Dainty Doll but the most expensive product I got was £2.99! I got it all from fragerancedirect.co.uk, I have been wanting to try Dainty Doll products ever since they were launched but have never gotten around to trying anything and when I seen them at those prices I had to take advantage and I might go back and get more! I'm going to put a list below of the products in the photo to the left I'm going to start with the first blush that's at the right of the picture and work around going left, make sense?!

- Powder Blush in 002 My Girl,
- Lipstick in 006 Baby Love,
- Cream Blush in 003 Billion Dollar Babies,
- Lipstick in 003 It's my Party,
- Concealer in 002 Abracadabra,
- Eyeshadow Base in 001 Frankie Girl,
- Lipgloss in 001 So Vain.

I love the packaging of the boxes but if only they could put that onto the packaging of the product as it would make it look so much nicer but that's just a little side note!

Yes, yes I caved! I have been lusting over this palette since the day it was relased but have always held back and saved the money or got something else. But I have always said I will get it one day when they time was right and well this is the right time! I couldn't resist it any longer and I have been doing more and more make-up tutorials reacently and so I really wanted to get it as it would be useful for that. It came with a mini Lip Junkie in Naked and it also came with a double ended brush.

I hope you enjoyed! This is pretty much all I have bought recently, if you have any of the products I have mentioned above then comment below and tell me what you think of them! And after writing this haul I have decided to go on a spending ban until the first of May! And since it is such a long time one month and fourteen days to be exact I will only get nassesaties and when I go on spending bans I am really good and get nothing that I don't acturally need, I will also if I can when I get to the first of May extend the spending ban because I don often buy stuff when I don't really need it or don't use it often enough.

♥ Selena Gomez at SXSW Spring Breakers Premiere - Inspired Make-up♥

Today I am going to share with you a tutorial for the make-up that Selena Gomez wore to the SXSW Music + Film Festival in Austin, Texas for the Spring Breakers Premiere. Her make-up was absolutely gorgeous and perfect for spring which is almost here? (Hopefully, even though it was snowing where I live today!) As always Selena looked flawless and I had to re-create this and share it with you as I love it so much and I'm really excited to share it with you!

                                   Source

Selena's outfit was also very spring like and very colourful which I loved, it certainly brighted my day up! I just wish I had her body to wear it! Her outfit was by Dolce & Gabbana - Spring 13 Tropical Print Cropped Bustier Top and Orange High Waist Pencil Skirt with nude Giuseppe Zanotti heels.

- I am starting by spraying Mac - Fix+ all over my face, I like to do this before I start my make-up as it acts like a base as gives the foundations a nice effect and it also helps it last longer which is always a bonus.

- Selena's skin was quite natural but it was still flawless as you can't see any blemishes or uneven skin tones that Selena probably doesn't have. I am using my favourite Collection - Lasting Perfection Concealer to cover any blemishes or dark spots up so that my skin is as even as I could possibly get it. I used a Real Techniques - Deluxe Crease Brush, I love using this for concealer as it blends it in really well and it gives the concealer a good look if that makes sense?!

- For foundation I am using Mac - Face and Body, this foundation looks very similar to the one Selena was wearing it gives a similar look to the skin and also gives great coverage when buffed into the skin. I wouldn't actually be surprised if this was the foundation the she was wearing. I am using a buffing brush by Real Techniques because it works the foundation it to the skin.

- I'm then going to lightly dust a little bit of Rimmel - Stay Matte Pressed Powder onto my t-zone (along my forehead then down my nose and chin). I am only really applying this to set my foundation as Selena's skin didn't look like it had much or any powder.

- I am now going to contour my face and add a bit of colour to my face using Benefit - Hoola, I am doing this lightly but you still want it to be sightly noticeable. (Remember to blend!)

- Selena has a very natural blush on that is a very neutral colour, I have used Mac - CremeBlush in LadyBlush as it is a good shade that gives the cheeks some colour but it isn't powerful or too colourful as that not how Selena has her blush. From the photo I don't think Selena has much or any highlight on her cheekbones so I've just left it out.

- Now I'm moving onto the eyebrows and I'm not going crazy with them I am keeping then very natural and just filling in sparse areas with Elf - Eyebrow Kit and then setting them with Mua - Clear Mascara.

- To prime my eyes I am starting with Rimmel - Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer (props to whoever came up with that name! Very Creative!) And I am just blending this all over my eyelid, I am still trying this out to see what I really think of it but it does have a nice finish to it!

- For my eyeshadow I am using one palette which is Elf - 32 Piece Eyeshadow Palette and below I have a picture with different coloured boxed I am now going to tell you which shadow out of the palette I am going to use using the colours of the boxes (make sense?!) I am using the colour in the green box all over my lid, I am then using the colour in the blue box in my crease and blending it out so that it's softer. In my outer corner I am using the colour in the yellow box just to darker it up and give it a little intensity. I am then blending the colours and making then softer. Selena's lower lash line is really well defined, I am using a matt black eyeshadow form the same elf eyeshadow palette which is in the pink box below.

- I am using Mac - Fluidline in BlackTrack along my upper lash line, I am keeping it simple so I'm not adding a wing or making it to thick. You can leave it at that as we will be using false eyelashes and then you can either add more gel liner once your lashes are on or add some black eyeshadow.

- I am now curling my eyelashes and applying a few coats of Mua - Mega Volume Mascara on my upper and lower lashes. I am using false eyelashes as Selena's eyelashes were amazing very long and looked very glamorous, the lashes I'm using are Eylure- Girls Aloud Kimberly Lashes these are perfect and look identical to Selena's. I also recommend using false eyelashes if your going to re-create this look as it really brings it together.

- Since we're using a really bright colour on our lips I recommend exfoliating your lips just so the colour goes on smoothly, normally if your going to use a bright colour you should also use a lip liner to avoid your lipstick bleeding and so it lasts longer and makes the colour really stand out but there is no coral lip liners on the high street that I could find! And I didn't have time to go into town and get a high-end coral lip liner as I really wanted to get this up asap as I love it so much and as I don't normally wear bright coral lips but I quite like them what do you think? Do they suite me? Anyway if you know of any good coral lip liner please leave suggestions in the comments below!

- The lipstick I'm using is Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick in 422 Coral Tonic, the colour is gorgeous and got good pigmentation. I am going a Real Techniques Detailer Brush to apply this as I am layering this so doing lots of thin layers to build the colour up and to get the perfect shape but you can neaten it up with concealer at the end if you want it to have a crisp effect. I am using the same brush to lightly add 17 - Ultimate Volume Lip gloss in Peach Melba this lip gloss gives it a great colour but also tones it down a bit and adds a gloss just like Selena's lips.

I hope you enjoyed, I have really loved doing make-up tutorials recently and have more coming up soon, I also have a haul and nail art posts coming soon, if you have any pictures of make-up that you would like me to re-create then you can send me them via e-mail, twitter, instagram, pinterest or you could leave a comment below. I also did my hair like Selena if you would like me to do a tutorial then I am able to do that it was actually very easy and simple! Thanks for Reading!
