The Weekly Post #1 // Skin Problems

I have another new series for you today! I have decided to do a post every Saturday called “The Weekly Post” and I can write about whatever I want. I have decided to do this because when I read a beauty style blog I like to know who’s behind the products even though I am a self-confessed product junkie and I love to read a good review but I also like it to be a bit personal – it’s especially nice if your similar to them and you can relate with what they’re saying. So some weeks I will have a specific topic I want to talk about for today I am going to write about products that have helped my skin (more on that soon!) But sometimes I’ll just have a general chit chat! I recently also started a new series called “What’s on my Face” which I will link , it has had a good response so far so I will be doing another on next week!
I have recently had a really hard time with my skin it’s been extremely dry and I have had really bad break outs especially on my forehead and chin. This caused me to have a good look at my skincare routine which I thought I had kind of nailed it but clearly not! I did a lot of research which I hadn’t before and I actuary learnt quite a lot! And I have pretty much changed everything in my routine, the only thing I haven’t changed is my eye make-up remover – which I am planning on changing and my daily moisturiser which is First Aid Beauty – Ultra Repair Cream which I still love! I read that foaming cleansers contain an ingredient that can be quite bad for your skin and that to remove your make-up you should use a cleansing balm, now if you’ve read the first skincare routine that I have ever done you would know that I used to use the N07 – Beautiful Skin – Cleansing Balm (very dry/dry skin) and I still had some that so instead of buying a new one I had never tried I began to use it again and I have fallen in love with it! Instead of wiping it off with cotton pads I use water and a face cloth as I don’t feel my face is clean without using water. While I was researching skin care I heard a lot about two Origins products - both masks. One mask is called the Clear Imperfections which is a clay mask that cleans out your pores so it’s great for acne prone skin – it says to use it once a week or as often as needed so to begin with I use it every other day. I am only doing it that often to clear my skin up and I will then strip it back to once or twice a week but it has defiantly help even my sister tried it and we both see results immediately – we both also love it! The other mask is an overnight mask that helps dry de-hydrated skin! It’s the Drink up Intensive Overnight Mask, this stuff oh my - if only you could smell it! It honestly smells like you’re putting a smoothie all over you face, and it does work after using it I only had two really bad patches that did eventually clear up.
Like I mentioned earlier I still have a few products that I want to get and I thought that I would take the time now to tell you the products that I really want to get and will eventually get. First product is one that I am sure you have all heard about and everyone says it’s worth the hype and I want to find out if it really worth the hype for myself! Bioderma Sensibio H20 - Micelle Solution (formerly Crealine) now you will all know what this is so I am going to keep it simple by saying … it’s a cleansing water and make-up remover for both face and eyes. The next item is an eye cream that I have used before as I have used one sample and have a backup waiting, Benefit It's Potent Eye Cream now I really like this but its £24.50! I would be prepared to get this eventually. So yeah that it two products I really want to get and I have actually just ordered the Bioderma! I convinced myself just to do as writing this made me want it even more! You would be amazed by how long it takes me to write a post I get distracted so easily and will defiantly look at online shops at least twice! Opps!
If you have any recommendations for dry skin that is acne prone then please leave your recommendations in the comments, I am really wanting to get an exfoliator to get all the yucky dead skin cells away but I don’t know what to try! Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed!

Love

  1. Have you thought about getting a Clarisonic? They are a great gentle way to exfoliate your skin! I love mine, it helps keep blemishes at bay too.
